If you were born a girl, most likely you had (or still have) a music box sitting on your dresser. If you were born a boy, most likely you played with your sisters music box, wondering how the heck someone invented some sort of magical contraption that produced such soothing tunes. Either way, we can all agree that the sounds coming from a music box is unlike any other musical instrument.

Today we're releasing "Music Box" to help you relive those childhood memories. I mean really, how else are you gonna recreate those sounds without a digital helping hand?? There are 12 new sound effects, with a variety of notes ranging from A in the 3rd octave to E in the 5th octave. You can find it in the instruments toolbar, located on the right hand side.

Launch Roc now to see and hear what's new!

And remember, every instrument, including Music Box, is licensed under creative commons attribution, and can be used commercially. This means that you can use any music you've created in Roc (even in a commercial project!) as long as you give Aviary credit.

Here's a quick song, created by none other, Styromus, to show you what sounds are now available at your fingertips:

Hint for Day 12 release (coming Monday): Popular in Sub-Saharan Africa, this musical instrument creates sounds primarily by vibration
