Remember the good ol' days of the 8-bit gaming systems? You know, the NES, Sega, and the Atari? If not, do yourself a favor and pick one up at your local used-videogame store. It won't be as glamorous as your PS3 or convenient as your Wii, but oh man will you get a nice trip back to the past, where you can literally see how videogames started. With every great game, comes a great music score, and the 8-bit generation definitely has a unique perspective to offer.

So for today, we've added 8-bit Organ Lo and 8-bit Organ Hi to the growing list of instruments in Roc, our music creator. This means you have 24 new 8-bit sound effects to add to your 'retro' tunes. You can find the latest installment in the instruments tool bar, located on the right hand side.

Take a listen to what's now available! And launch Roc to start playing!

Remember, every instrument, including 8-bit Organ Lo and Hi, is licensed under creative commons attribution, and can be used commercially. This means that you can use any music you've created in Roc (even in a commercial project!) as long as you give Aviary credit.
