Woof! Dogster Gets a Fresh New Toy - HTML5 Photo Editor

Dogster to live and learn about all things dog! It's your one stop destination to find more info on breeds, health, care, food, behavior and training, as well as adoption. And don't worry cat lovers, they got you too!

We're happy and excited to announce their integration of our super-simple and embeddable HTML5 Photo Editor (codename: Feather). Dogster Plus members will now have the ability to quick-edit (rotate, resize, crop, etc.) as well as decorate their photos with tools like drawing, text and stickers. Is it possible to have too much fun??

Dogster's Customized Stickers on Our HTML5 Photo Editor

The best part?

Dogster has gone ahead (they're also the first) and created their own stickers! From Christmas trees to reindeer antlers, they've created a set of holiday stickers to add to the fun. This is an excellent example of the many open possibilities to our HTML5 editor, and we hope that this demonstration will inspire others to do the same. Plans of open sourcing our HTML5 Editor is in the works, and should be released soon in a future update. This will give users even more customization possibilities, including customizable skinning and CSS options.

But Why??

"We are using Feather as a way for our members to enhance their favorite dog and cat photos. Our members love their pets intensely (don't we all!) and one of the most common ways for expressing that love is by taking great photos of their pets and uploading them to their pet's profile page on Dogster or Catster. Feather will allow our members to take that expression to the next level by allowing them to customize their photos with fun stuff like captions, filters and stickers as well as general photo editing features such as cropping, flipping and resizing. The entire experience is enhanced when members can easily use this tool to make awesome photos even better." - Dogster
